Appeton Essentials Glucosamine contains glucosamine sulphate derived from marine source. Glucosamine sulphate supplement is indicated as an important factor that helps to relieve osteoarthritis pain. The weight bearing joints like the knees, hips and joints of the hands are most often affected by the degenerative changes associated with osteoarthritis. As the disease progresses the cartilage loses its ability toact as shock absorber, which causes pain upon motion of the affected joints. It has been reported that long-term consumption of glucosaminecan prevent joint structure changes in patients with a significant improvement in symptoms. Appeton Essentials Glucosamine Tablet provides structure-modifying effect, stimulates the biosynthesis of cartilage component, increases synovial fluid production, improves the viscosity of synovial fluid and provides lubricant activity to joints.

Indication:

As an adjunctive therapy in osteoarthritis.

Recommended Dosage:

Best taken before meal.

Light or moderate osteoarthritis symptoms:

1 tablet twice daily for at least 6 weeks.

Severe osteoarthritis symptoms: 

Initially 1 tablet 3 times a day for at lest 8 weeks.

Maintenance therapy should be followed for 3-4 months with 1 tablet twice daily.

The treatment should be repeated every other 6 months or as directed by physician.
