Kombu is a type of thick flat seaweed cultivated in the northern waters of Japan. Kombu is frequently used as soup stock and even eaten as a snack.

Kombu contains enzymes that stimulate breaking down of raffinose, sugar in beans that induce excessive gas and bloating. Kombu also acts as antidote to excess sodium consumption and it is known to reduce blood cholesterol and hypertension. Kombu is high in a wide range of trace minerals and amino acids, including potassium, iodine, calcium, and vitamins A and C, as well as B-complex vitamins and glutamic acid.

No artificial preservatives added. Please store in cool, dry place. Refrigerate after opening and consume within 180 days for best quality.
